The Tamil Nadu board class 12 examinations was started on 1st of March 2018, and Tamil Nadu SSLC board exam will commence from 16th March- 20th April in the month of may/June for the students studying in state board affiliate schools. The DGE (The Directorate Of Government Examinations) will publish the Tamil Nadu 12th Result 2018 on their official website- dge.tn.nic.in.

The DGE had also released an official notification for the examination schedule for classes 10th and 12th along with class 11th board examination timetable. The 11th examination was held for the first time in the state of Tamil Nadu.

Tamil Nadu 12th Result 2018

Just like every year, the Tamil Nadu class 12th last year results were declared on May 12, 2017, where they took 40 to 45 days in the processing and uploading results on their official website. The results brought smiles to thousands of students who participated in the examination. By following the same procedure, the 2018 board exam results will release in May.

As soon as the Tamil Nadu 12th results 2018 are officially announced by the board, Students can check their 12th result 2018, Tamil Nadu HSC result at tnresults.nic.in and dge1.tn.nic.in. The students can also enroll their names to receive email alerts directly to their inbox about the TN results 2018.

Tamil Nadu 12th Results Data

The last year’s TN results serve as the primary source to build realistic expectations regarding the upcoming results. In 2017, Tamil Nadu witnessed an improvement in the performance of its students in class 12th results. The pass percentage increased to 92.1% as compared to 91.4% in 2016. Over 1,171 students scored over 1,180 out of 1,200 marks. The number of students scoring 100% marks was 3,656 in mathematics as compared to 3,361 in 2016. A total of 8,301 scored 200/200 in commerce.

The DCE has said that of the 8,93,262 students who took the exam, 8,22,838 have passed. The girls had performed better with a 94.5% pass percentage, as compared to 89.3% for the boys. Virudhunagar topped all the districts with a pass percentage of 97.85%.

It is noteworthy that over the years girls have outdone the boys, showing their academic and capability. Looking at the previous year data, the result was handsomely at 92.1 percent in which the contribution of girls was definitely higher than boys. 94.5 percent of girl’s candidates qualified out of total candidate who appeared for the examination. The percentage of boys stood at 89.3 percent. The pass percentage of boys was increased by two percent in overall pass percentage.

Tamil Nadu HSC results Expectations

The expatiations are higher this year too. The board and the education experts and event the students are hoping to surpass previous records with these years’ Tamil Nadu board 12th board results.

There might be some technical glitches due to lacks of students accessing the results simultaneously soon after the officials declare the results. Last year the TNBSE declared Tamil Nadu HSC (+2) examination results from 2017 on may 12 (Friday). The board members request not to follow the result date announcement which is not official to control the nervousness among students.

Once the TN board result is formally announced by the board, the students can visit their official result pages of TNBSE and enter their respective roll numbers in the space provided and click submit to get their results.

On the day of Tamil Nadu 12th results 2018, the nervousness and excitement were built among students while checking the outcome of their yearlong hard work.
